Pioneer Crossing Yerington is looking for a Guest Services Representative

Summary:

Guest Services Representatives are responsible for cash handling in the cage, along with all aspects of the Player's Club and must be able to adhere and follow Nevada State Gaming Control and in-house casino policies and procedures.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following: (Other duties may be assigned).
  • Count in, using cage count sheet and balance drawer
  • Achieve company objectives in customer service by ensuring that all guests feel welcome and are given responsive, friendly and courteous service at all times
  • Pay out all Jackpots to the Manager on Duty
  • Answer incoming calls and transfer calls as needed
  • Be knowledgeable of and able to explain/promote all Casino and Marketing events 
  • Perform basic tasks on Player tracking
  • The ability to be on the microphone for announcements and marketing events
  • Willing to train the right candidate

Education/Experience:
  • High School Diploma or GED equivalent preferred.
  • Previous cashier experience in a casino environment preferred.

Language Ability:
  • Must be able to communicate effectively in verbal and written English language.

Math Ability:
  • Excellent math skills; ability to calculate money accurately.

Certificates and Licenses:
  • Gaming Registration Card.

Physical Requirements:
  • Ability to stand for extended periods of time
  • Reaching, bending, stretching, lifting up to 50 lbs
  • Ability to work in a noisy, smoking casino environment
  • Ability to work in a small, confined, office-type room

Knowledge/Skills:
  • Excellent organizational abilities
  • Ability to handle cash, calculate accurately, analyze and account for cash and coin
  • Excellent customer service skills
  • Must be on time and ready to work
  • Excellent written and oral communication
  • Basic computer skills
  • Ability to handle periods of high volume
