Location: Dayton Position: Restaurant Server

Gold Ranch Dayton is looking for an upbeat, friendly, motivated person for a full-time, varied shift restaurant server . Our servers take food and beverage orders and serve food and beverage items to guests in a friendly, enthusiastic, professional, and timely manner. The perfect candidate will be cross-trained as a cashier/host and busser to fill in as business needs require.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following: (Other duties may be assigned).
  • Take orders from guests for all food and beverage requests.
  • Serve all food and beverage requests in a friendly, professional and timely manner.
  • Monitor guests’ needs and address each guest by name whenever possible during the course of service.
  • Ensure that minors and intoxicated persons are not served alcoholic beverages.
  • Clear tables during service.
  • Ensure station and table set-ups are complete and perform various side duties as needed or assigned by the Supervisor.
  • Maintain proper condition and cleanliness of dining areas, service areas, and servicing equipment.
  • Assist other servers, bus attendants, hosts and fellow employees when necessary.

Education/Experience:
  • High School Diploma or GED equivalent preferred.
  • 1 year restaurant experience required.
 
Language Ability:
  • Must be able to communicate effectively in verbal and written English language.
 
Math Ability: 
  • Basic adding and subtracting skills.
 
Knowledge/Skills: 
  • Excellent organizational abilities.
  • Excellent customer service skills.
  • Ability to work in high-pressure, fast-paced environment.
And be able to multitask, project a positive attitude and professionalism at all times, and be able to learn and understand menu items and beverages.

Physical Requirements:
  • Ability to stand for long periods of time.
  • Reaching, bending, stretching, lifting up to 25 lbs.
  • Must be able to exert well-paced ability to maneuver between functions occurring simultaneously.
  • Must be able to lift trays of food or food items weighing up to 25 lbs. on a regular and continuing basis.
  • Must be able to exert well-paced ability in limited space.
  • Must be able to bend, stoop, squat and stretch to fulfill cleaning tasks.
  • Requires grasping, writing, standing, sitting, walking, repetitive motions, bending, climbing, listening and hearing ability and visual acuity.
  • Talking and hearing occur continuously in the process of communicating with guests, supervisors and subordinates.
  • Requires manual dexterity to use and operate all necessary equipment.
  • Ability to work in a casino environment.
