Description
  • Manages assigned operational functions within the department consistent with the strategic plan and vision for the department, the division and Company.
  • Manages and monitors fiscal budget, operations and marketing strategies to produce both short term and long term profitability for Truckee Gaming.
  • Manages the delivery and measurement of guest service consistent with the company’s core service standards and brand attributes.
  • Provides input into the research, development, evaluation and implementation of new products, services, technology and processes to ensure Signature ’s competitive position and in anticipation of changing customer needs within the dynamic hospitality and gaming environment.
  • Manages Human Resources responsibilities to include: creating a work environment that promotes teamwork, performance feedback, recognition, mutual respect and employee satisfaction; quality hiring, training and succession planning processes that encompass the company’s diversity commitment; adherence to the company’s status quo third party representation philosophy; compliance with company policies, legal requirements and collective bargaining agreements.
  • Reviews, plans, and coordinates all job assignments, sets work priorities, makes cost-effective assignment decisions and ensures the completion of projects in a timely, efficient and effective manner. Enforces and maintains superior facility standards at all times.
  • Prepares annual preventative maintenance schedules to ensure all property systems and equipment are serviced that reflect and efficient and cost effective approach to property and systems management.
  • Ensures adequate staffing for timely completion of facility projects and maintenance duties. Performs manpower efficiency studies and determines future equipment and supply requirements.
  • Assists the Director of Operations with developing feasibility studies to include detailed analysis of material costs and man-hour requirements. Make facility cost saving recommendations when appropriate.
  • Perform all other job related duties as requested.
 

Required:

  • Minimum age of 21 years.
  • At least 5 years of Engineering and/or equivalent work experience.
  • At least 2 years of senior management level position with strong facilities and maintenance background within a major hotel facility operation.
  • Ability to read and evaluate written material.
  • Working knowledge of facilities and maintenance principles and theories of hotel operations.
  • Excellent organizational skills to function effectively under time constraints with particular attention to detail.
  • Effective listening abilities with strong judgment skills.
  • Basic math skills.
  • Proper mental attitude to deal effectively with guests, management, and other employees with courtesy and tactfulness.
  • Excellent customer service skills.
  • Able to lead and mentor a team.
  • Have interpersonal skills to deal effectively with all business contacts.
  • Professional appearance and demeanor.
  • Work varied shifts, including weekends and holidays.
  • Working knowledge of computer software to include MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook and/or equivalent.
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Able to effectively communicate in English, in both written and oral forms.

Preferred:

  • Education level associated with the attainment of a Bachelor Degree in Facilities.
  • Previous experience working in a similar resort setting.
