Gold Ranch in Dayton is looking for a Cage Cashier

Summary:

Cage Cashiers are responsible for cash handling in the cage, and must be able to adhere and follow Nevada State Gaming Control and in-house casino policies and procedures.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following: (Other duties may be assigned).
  • Count in, using cage count sheet and balance drawer
  • Achieve company objectives in customer service by ensuring that all guests feel welcome and are given responsive, friendly and courteous service at all times
  • Cash Sports Book tickets if the Sports Book is closed
  • Pay out all Jackpots to the Manager on Duty
  • Conducts an inventory of all cash and its equivalents
  • Answer incoming calls and transfer calls as needed
  • Be knowledgeable of  and able to explain/promote all Casino and Marketing events

Education/Experience:
  • High School Diploma or GED equivalent preferred.
  • Previous cashier experience in a casino environment preferred.

Language Ability:
  • Must be able to communicate effectively in verbal and written English language.

Math Ability:
  • Excellent math skills; ability to calculate money accurately.

Certificates and Licenses:
  • Gaming Registration Card.

Physical Requirements:
  • Ability to stand for extended periods of time
  • Reaching, bending, stretching, lifting up to 50 lbs
  • Ability to work in a noisy, smoking casino environment
  • Ability to work in a small, confined, office-type room

Knowledge/Skills:
  • Excellent organizational abilities
  • Ability to handle cash, calculate accurately, analyze and account for cash and coin
  • Excellent customer service skills
